Question
Based on the general “rules” in Baybayin, what translation is more proper? KO-K or KO-KE?
Answer after the jump
Answer
Modified Baybayin: KO-K using the cancellation kudlit more proper compared to the character-to-character match of KO-KE. Since the E isn’t pronounced, shouldn’t be represented.
Additionally, since there’s no C in Baybayin, the sound is represented with the KA character.
There’s also another possible way depending how you pronounce “Coke”. What is it?
ko-w-k
