Call for Artists: 2014 Pistahan Parade & Festival

August 9 & 10, 2014 (Saturday & Sunday)
Yerba Buena Gardens, San Francisco

We are looking for Artists to come join us at the Art Pavilion (also the home of Baybayin) this August at one of the largest well-known Festival/Parades in S.F, Bay Area – The 2014 Pistahan Parade & Festival. As we come together to celebrate this year’s 21-year anniversary, the heart of S.F is transformed into a 2-day unforgettable weekend-celebration of Filipino Pride, Heritage and Culture. While thousands of people from all over the community come to cultivate in Filipino Culture, we make it a mission at the Art Pavilion to inspire and educate through art. This is a great opportunity to exhibit your original artwork, make a difference in your community and have fun talking about your art!

For this year’s theme, we want to recognize the Visayan Region, where we hope to raise up Tacloban after typhoon Haiyan last year. Kristian Kabuay, one of the organizers of the Art Pavilion, will be highlighting the “The Masskara Festival” – a festival held each year in BacolodPhilippines. We look forward to making this year’s Pistahan fun, friendly and special!

We encourage all aspiring Artists to inquire about the opportunity!

Contact Kristian for inquiries – (925) 396 5969

Submit sample artwork to Kristian at Info@baybayin.com
